As you may have noticed there was no daily sketch yesterday, this was due to a particularly unpleasant headache. In a failed attempt to shift the headache I decided to go for a walk in the graveyard opposite my apartment building. Now this may not sound like the nicest place to go for a walk but being a graveyard dating back over 100 years it’s actually quite interesting.
While I wandered around contemplating the point of painkillers which didn’t appear to so much as prod, much less kill pain I decided to take a few photos which I would like to share.
Cemeteries can be very meditative places. I have spent a lot of time in the past in the healing presence of our forebears. Your photos are a testament to the beauty of the continuity of life. These can be references for some painting ideas.
